Hot Conway!

Finally!  I went back on the road.  This time it was to Conway, Arkansas which has the distinction of being the hottest place I have ever been on the planet!  Huh?  Conway, Arkansas?  Yep, that’s right.  When I was there for a week in August 2000, it got over 105 degrees every day and one day it was 112.  Inside the customer’s plant it had to be 120. It was completely miserable.  I have temporarily been places that were hotter but never where I had to stay.  I think they were just having a heat wave at the time but it was really hot.  It was just nice this time.  Rain on a couple of days but about 73-80 during the day.

I accomplished what I went there for and headed to the airport in Little Rock.  I saw a billboard that mentioned Bill Clinton so I went to see if I could find The Bill Clinton Presidential Library and Massage Palor.  I rode all around downtown Little Rock and around the capital but could not find it.  I did not see any signs leading me to it, either.  I guess it is not that great an attraction since they don’t have signs to it.

The flight home was uneventful, just another rainy night for flying with delays across the board.  On my flight from Little Rock to Charlotte, the male flight attendant made one of the dumbest announcements I have ever heard.  He said, “If you have a close connection, I would advise you to go to your gate and not stop to ask for directions.  If you don’t know where the gate is then you need to find someone that does.”  What an idiot.  If you stop to ask for directions, it would be apparent that you don’t know where you are going. Sometimes people need to stop talking before they insert their whole foot.
