There and Back Again

I just completed working in PA two weeks in a row.  I first went to Montgomeryville, PA to do an install then down to York, PA to work on a Feeder that is still in warranty.  I went home after York and had to go back to PA the next week and repeat the same route.  Drove a total of 1708 miles on both round trips.  Not exciting at all but lots of time to listen to the radio.  I have XM in the car which is great for long trips since you never have to change stations.  Talk radio keeps me in the loop and channel 46 is “Classic Vinyl” where they play some great music.

Not much to talk about with these trips… just routine service.  Most of the customers I talk to tell me that their business is slower but they still are preparing for the comeback.  They run fewer shifts and minimize overtime to get through the rough spots.  Box plants usually will pick up business before the general news reports because when a company makes and ships something, they need a box to put it in.  So when box plants’ business picks up, the recovery is on the way.  It is not on the way yet.
